Rising star Joe Todd-Stanton brings his unique, modern illustration style to an inversion of the classic Aesop Fable of The Lion and the Mouse, as Julian the Mouse learns that sometimes, having a friend over for dinner can be just the right amount of variety in your day. When the fox tries to sneak into Julian's burrow for a tasty bite of mouse, it finds itself stuck headfirst in Julian's front door! At first alarmed and wary, they soon find themselves having a lovely dinner together, and it's not long before each realizes that they have found in the other a lifelong friend.
Joe Todd-Stanton is from Brighton and grew up drawing with his mum. He studied Illustration at University of the West of England, afterwards moving to London where he currently resides. His children’s book, The Secret of Black Rock, won the Waterstones picture book of the year prize in 2018 and since then he has written and illustrated seven books with Flying Eye Books.

RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
